Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you should wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old before doing this.
Ickle Bubba XL Air
This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a great choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. The travel system comes with a lie flat carrycot for babies and a dual-position forward and rear facing seat for the pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it's earned the highest praise from customers. It's extremely light - the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to put together. In fact, I was able to put it up and running in less than five minutes, which is amazing given that it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!
It has a lovely, wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is easy to use. There's a good amount of room in the basket and I like the fact that it has a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so you can keep your keys and phone secure!
The handlebar is a bit low, which may be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in a soft, comfortable leather-like material that is easy to clean.
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is a great choice for parents who like to explore and are always on the move. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on forest and field trails. The front wheel can be locked and can be rotated to allow for greater versatility. The stroller also comes with a 5-point safety harness with a front bar to keep your child safe during all journeys. The parking brake keeps the stroller in place while you take a rest. The seat can be adjusted to a laying position and the canopy can be opened maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30 centimeters to accommodate dad's or mom's heights.
If you're planning a quick jog or a long hike, the Runner will be there to accompany you on all your adventures with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise a bump-free ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit into car boot spaces and storage spaces.
The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Also the locking system (requiring two buttons either on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebars are higher than some competitors, which means they may not be suitable for taller parents. However the stroller is strong and adaptable and is a good option by families with active children.

It's their latest and most expensive addition to the bargain lightweight stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat compatible so you can use from birth.
The new Pace boasts some fantastic design touches such as the rose gold tint of the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which truly distinguish it from its competition. The stroller and car seat fabrics are stylish in tan, grey and cream. You can also add a leather handle and bumper bar to complement.
The stroller seat can be used from birth up to a maximum weight of 22kg. It can easily be converted into a 2-in-1 reversible position, which is either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat comes with multiple lying positions, a softly padded leg rests and an extendable sun canopy with concealed zip sections, viewing see through flap and an adjustable sun visor.
What's more, when it's folded it's Pace is 56 32 x 43 cm which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among other carriers. It's also easy to fold down, using two buttons on either side of the handlebar that you can click into and pop up.
Bugaboo Fox 5
Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, with a shorter wheel-distance makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rough pavements along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.
The wheels that are puncture-proof are large - 22cm and 30cm - therefore they are able to handle all kinds of terrain. The wheels come with a flap that can be shut or opened to let air in when required. It is a little bigger than other pushchairs, however it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt confident using it on busy city streets.
